I own a very valuable domain name regged at moniker. I have it parked with hitfarm and I've checked the DNS and they are correct; however, when I checked my stats today for the name, they were WAY off! The name is NOT resolving to hitfarm lander, it's resolving to www3.searchmirror.com/xxxxxxxxxxx

WTF?!?!? I changed absolutely nothing! What's going on?!?!

Any ideas??

did you check the moniker and make sure you still have the domain?

make sure to change your password and then worry about stats

as long as you have your domain you can make money today or tomorrow.

First thing I did was make sure it was in my account. It's a xxx,xxx name, no bs. It's in my account, dns are still pointed to hitfarm, but resolving to this searchmirror.com site.

I'm tripping!

Don't worry. Maybe the DNS hasn't propagated properly. Just be sure you have the domain in your account, check the contact information, lock it and check the whois. Go back to the DNS tab in Moniker, click on custom Name Severs tab and reenter the DNS info, save it. Also click on manage name servers and make sure nothing is configured there, should be blank.

If I'm not mistaken, for DNS to propogate, the dns should have been changed, right? I've had the name pointed to hitfarm servers for over a year, so why now? The domain is in my account, thank God. Contact info is right, and whois record is right. I re-entered the name servers too and saved them just to make sure. Absolutely strange!

hitfarm sounds like the people to contact if it's not resolving and everything was fine hours, days years ago on the register (moniker) side.

My advice for you is try updating the whois contacts, and if they reflect the current change. Then you are on the safe side. It means you own the domain. If it is about DNS problem, then I suggest you simply give hitfarm a call.

My guess searchmirror.com belongs (secretly) to Hitfarm people and they might be redirecting there some traffic, i.e. banned on Yahoo feed, like they had this deal with Namedrive before

Yes, I recognize searchmirror.com as being such alternate where traffic that for some reason can't be monetized by the regular feed is redirected. Most parking companies has similar setups.
