I would say after much success at NW, it does seem a bit
strange that as of late they have not picked up any of
the higher bid names.

Could it be Verisign is messing with their connections???

I would not be suprised...

If the other registrars could prove that. Then, Verisign could be exposed to legal actions. Plus, the U.S. Commerce & FTC could start being involved.

And, I am sure the Verisign's executives are smarter than that.

They don't want to jeopardize their exclusive franchise.

NameWinner High bids 5-20-03

Caulking.com $2,001. NW did not get it.

Cheddar.net $ 156. NW did not get it.

Errors.net $ 399. NW did not get it.

LimeStones.com $502. NW did not get it.

Plan.net $2,855. NW did not get it

Pretzel.com $2,600. NW did not get it.

Rumors.net $ 878. NW did not get it.

Sealant.com $ 2,999. NW did not get it.

Here are just a couple examples of bids on NW.
That is a lot of money for NW to leave on the table.

It would pay them to get more registrars on board.

VeriSign can do anything they want to - they are scared of no body and no thing.

Would also cut into their profits cause other registrars would want a share of the proceeds.
I am sure they have already done a cost analysis on this.

It did seems a little odd about NW's success as of late. They have sucked getting me any names recently but they have gotten me my fair share.
