I remember in a domain dispute last year PriceWaterhouseCooper failed to win PWC.COM from Ultimate Search.

But now they OWN it! What happened? Did they buy it from the HK company? or did they win finally in a WIPO Appeal[if any]?

IMO big companies will often try to grab them through legal means first. If they fail, then they become a lot more reasonable and would consider a purchase from the owner.
