Top domain name hack JE.WS is estimated at mid $xx,xxx (end buyer) considering not only the value of JEWS.COM but other (cc)TLDs as well, take JEWS.US which was sold for $25000 back in '05 (source). That and the recent sales of domain hacks T.AG for 60K (source), SOCI.AL for 50K (source), REP.LY for 22K (source), LOVE.LY for 20K (source), etc. prove that short and creative domains do have a market.
