The NFL might might hassle you. Did you check? If they're clean, than $5-10k ea. Just a guess of course... Remember a name is only worth how much someone is willing to pay. And how much you need the money. Great names though!

they are generic terms...........don't see how they can do shit.....if they start sniffing, i would slap up a page about dolpins (the animals) and jets (the planes).

Correct Gringo. They are generic names. You couldn't put up a site about the New York Jets or the Miami Dolphins but you could use them for any other purpose your heart desires. The names do bask in the auxiliary glow from the famous football teams though and that does enhance their value. I couldn't guess how high the right buyer would go for these names. They would be worth a great deal to the football teams themselves - all NFL franchises make fortunes on marketing and these names would only make their job easier.

Do you plan to keep exisiting content on the sites? What's your marketing plan?
Sure am curious as to the 'ballpark' figure you paid for ownership of these gems??

And of course all disclosure is "off the record" '-)

The previous owner of Dolphins.com (or at least one of the past owners) were hit hard by the Miami Dolphins. Apparently, the football team lost :D

I recall Jets.com being for sale awhile back too on Afternic.

Nice pick-ups Gregr.
