Hi!

Just got this one.
I am definitely planning to develop this. It's short, it sound great when you say "Job Get dot Net".

I will make it into a PHP scripted site were people can list vacant employment places and where unemployed can list themselves together with their CV or merits.

but "get a job" is an actual phrase used by humans thus the reason it is taken in all extensions

yes. However, both names are way good enough to make it.
It is the development that takes time.

yeah i do think jobget.net would be a great name for a job site.

jobget.net slogan could be "get a net job" :D

or better yet.....

"get off your net and get a job!" :D

neither would I be (undeveloped)

But I really do have plans for it.

Just think about it. How many of the good sites actually have names like "GetAJob.net"

They have names like google, altavista, yahoo, godaddy etc.
The list is endless.

All it needs is good development

those sites needed millions of dollars in branding and promotion which i'm assuming you don't have.

I like creative names myself, I have many for development purposes.

Its just not fun, catchy or easy to say IMO, if you know what I mean.

The point was the name

Being a webdeveloper, I think I know as good, if not better, than you what it takes to make a good site.

Anyways, I am very hot on this idea, so Im gonna do this.
I speak both english and swedish, so I am going to make it a page for swedish, english and american vacancies.

Tippy: really? Personally, I think jobget.net is easy to pronounce

I would advise against such monumental task. It is hard enough specializing in one geographical area/market of job search interest.

Given your developing skills perhaps you could develop job-search sites incl the back end database server code and sell it to the various job matching services out there.

Good luck!

I disagree with the millions to promote. Just work on getting listed well in the engines and you should do ok.

Mike

PS : I would still use a different Domain, it just doesnt sound right.

i have been developing sites for about 5 years, and just because you are a developer does not mean you know what it takes to make a good site. Making a "good" site and making a profit are not necessarily the same thing.

hehe, I didn't say I knew better than you, I said I think I know as good as you, if not better.

By the way, cool about the marketing.
What is your website?
