a lil pricey - i'd rather get a commercial term for $100,000 where you can actually sell stuff.

John.com is a bargain at 100k imo considering domains like BOB.com have been bid up to OVER a quarter million and reserve never met..but then again that is a 3 letter .com and John.com is 4 letters, but still...ultra popular first name in .com is rarer than rare and also has some very big potential commercial applications as well..I would value this domain at 250k+ maybe alot more..

The seller DOES NOT OWN that domain. I bought it twice on eBay already:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...m=160086894262&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=006
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...m=160081155666&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=006

The seller refused to use Escrow (fair enough in some situations), refused to prove he owned the domain, refused to change the nameservers so I could see he had control (said he didn't know how). He also told me he sold Jack.net three years ago for $26k, but that domain has always been owned by NetIdentity.

A bit of digging shows that the domain currently points to the same IP as little.com, and the whois history shows that, before the WHOIS was hidden, it was owned by John Little, the ex-CEO of Portal Software. John Little sold his share of Portal for $37.5 million, so I'm guessing he probably isn't selling his firstname .COM on eBay ;) Also, between the two eBay auctions, the seller's contact name changed from "Jack" to "Josh".

I warned Sedo over a week ago and they said they'd look into it.

Now the same guy is trying to sell Mike.com (owned by MicroStrategy, Inc.) on eBay. Anyone with a good contact at eBay who can get him banned?
