I just finished my latest project which is a "webzine" featuring retro gaming news and reviews (my huge passion/hobby).

I'd appreciate it if you checked it out and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Good job, just needs a bunch more content.

I also need you to find me a Centuri Eagle game in great condition for my den - can you get right on that? :)

I'm pretty sure I got it on my cabinet. :)

Very great name/site, but I guess people using joypad for video game console more than joystick. By the way, I’ve got the joystick Tekken 5 for 360.

Thanks. If you check out the site again you'll see that it's all about old games from the 80's and 90's, where joysticks were the only option. :)

Great site.

Used to play NES, Sega Genesis games quite a lot many years back.

Above game "Contra" was a challenge when I started playing video games and was really excited with that game and felt like a real hero saving the world.

Thanks James!

Contra is a great game, but very hard indeed. In Europe it was released under the name "Probotector". :)

I see. It had different name. I can see Sonic game in your header image and it was also one of my favorite games. A few months ago, I missed them and found a way to play them again with RAM and console software downloaded via internet. Ninja Gaiden (NES) was also one of my favorites and it's still popular with XBox and PS2 or 3.

[h=1]I love ninja gaiden(nes) too, the latest one for ps3 and 360 are too bloody. I was also very addictive to the old school Beat’em up arcade call double dragon. [/h][h=1]

Great looking site Stian, I love the logo :) What have you built the site on, is it a premade theme, or you made it from scratch?

The site is based on a Wordpress theme, but it's so modified that it's pretty much from scratch. The logo is done by JP @ www.jpsgrfx.com and the Dizzy/Turrican/Superfrog background sprites are done by an old Amiga/C64 pixel artist. :)

Awesome site Stian. Are you going to feature your arcade cabinets too?

I also enjoyed playing Double Dragon series and they were nice ones.

Cool stuff! The good thing is that the site topic suits you 100%, it should translate to regular enthusiastic updates, and that's the best content one can get!

Congrats on the site. I just finished reading "Masters of Doom" which detailed the origins of ID Software :) Although the release of Doom/Quake was cool, what I remember most was playing Duke Nukem 3D on a LAN for the very first time. Those were the days.

Thanks!

I might review Baseball Stars as I got it right here. :)

What I most definitely will do is make a feature on the first FPS games to hit the gaming scene (Apogee/3D Realms Wolfenstein 3D and Duke Nukem 3D, Doom, Rise of the Triad etc.).

I remember downloading the shareware versions of those games off BBS'es when I was 10 years old. If I had a time machine I'd go back in an instant and stay there..
