I just bought MomTalk.com. I was thinking it would make a great forum for moms. I got it just in case my wife wants to develop it.

Any thoughts on it's value?

Thanks,

Doug

momtalk.com does sound very usable - was it a drop? Would seem odd for it to be unregistered all this time.

Yeah... it dropped a day or two ago I believe. I was actually helping a customer pick out a name for her business when I saw this one. I asked her if she wanted it and she said no... so I grabbed it.

If my wife decides not to use it, I would think it would be worth at least a couple hundred bucks, don't you think???

Thanks,

Doug

Yep Doug, I'd think so. Lots of people using the phrase in google. You might need to do a bit if contacting to get a good price, but would be better to go for end users rather than resellers on it.

momtalkradio.com looks like a prime site to contact about it....

Thanks! How did you find that (a google search or something)?

That's a nice site. If we don't end up developing it, that will be the first people I contact.

Much Appreciated...

Also you guys probably already know, you can go to a site like www.namedroppers.com and find domain with keywords in them, for example I just typed in 'mom talk' and 23 domains came with those words in em like:

mommytalk.com
moms-talk.com
talktomoms.com
momtalktv.com etc.

But most of these domains are inactive, but still..

Ok, who bled into AN threads here? A wise domainer once said, "if you don't have a business plan for a domain BEFORE you buy it, don't"

Hope you did not pay too much for the name.

You meant to say "If your wife does not approve the business plan, don't buy the domain" :D
