We (myself & a couple of associates) have just received three separate inquiries for these domain names:

Bloomington.info

BusinessInsurance.info (.biz; .us)

BoardGames.info (Board-Games.info; BoardGames.biz)....have started working on developing this site....i.e. right now its just couple of pages but is hosted and "live".

Any input as to whats a reasonable "asking price" would be greatly appreciated.

With such genre differences in the domain names, be sure you were not sent spam.

If you believe the offers were legitimate.....the names hold no great value..

Ask $500 for all 3. Take $100. These are not great names.

Actually, we got these inquiries separately over last 3-4 days so the word "just" was little misleading.

And, Doberry are you serious in saying what you just posted re. valuation of these domains.

For BusinessInsurance.info/.biz & Bloomington.info these are the first inquiries we've received and the latter reads like this:

"Greetings. I'm working with a informal group of community volunteers here in Bloomington, MN, to put together a directory of
community organizations. The "bloomington.info" domain that
you control is an obvious choice for a site like ours.
Would you have any interest in discussion contributing or selling the domain to us? If it was a sale, the price would come out of our own pockets so obviously it couldn't be too expensive.
Thanks in advance for your reply."

For BoardGames.info we've had three separate offers over last 8-9 months for upto $2K...and so far we're holding out hoping to do much better than that. Are we mistaken?

personally dryheat i would say BoardGames.info is a great name. one of the best .info names i have seen.

The others are not good but if you had offers you should treat it as if the buyer must really want it. In the end i would accept their offers but boardgames.info is a keeper

If you were offered $2K for boardgames.info, I don't think there's anyone on here that would tell you not to take it. Why does someone need info about board games? Thats over 10 times the value in my opinion, take it and run to the bank...!! :)

accompanied by BoardGames.biz; who knows?

Just FYI, we'd sold Bibliography.info earlier this year for $5200.00 to the same folks who have .com version. And then, just 3 weeks ago, sold LowerManhattan.info for $1.5K.

Typical morons, pay 5k for Bibliography.info and its going nowhere.

actually, I use a site to look up board game rules all the time since I tend to lose mine. I would say 1K is the price I would put on it.

The other two, maybe $100 each? Something like that.

I would take what I can for the .info's. Not much action for them...at least what I see anyway IMHO.

Bloomington.info is a great one for .info. Not only is it a very well-known city, it is in fact the name of several cities across the nation (Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, etc.)--perhaps some areas outside of the U.S., as well. It is valuable as an information site. I don't know about the other domains you are asking about, but Bloomington.info is pretty big--not in the 5-figure range, but definitely in the 4. I see a price range btw $2 - 6k, depending on want to sell and needs of the buyer. If you don't sell it to them now, hold on to it until someone meets the criteria you are looking for...Bloomington will never go away. Good luck.

to all of you who have provided valuable input.

Its seems like that as yet there's no consesus re. valuation of new tlds. Some comments indicate as if they're just useless (I respectfully disagree with this) while others feel that they certainly do have value and are likely to increase in value over time...Only time will tell!!
