Could cost you $100,000K to turn it over. This is not cool to own, in most Domainers opinions! If I were you, I'd try to reach out to Beiber's camp and give it to him. If no response, I'd drop it...but what the h*ll do I know?

eDomainer, no It's between $0 and $0.

What Vins is saying is that it may cost you $100,000 if he decided to file a UDRP.

I would drop the domain and leave it for the fan girls.

$48-105 if you find someone interested.
A negative amount if UDRP finds you before that.
A very negative amount if anyone proves that you got profit from it and your name is not Justin Bieber.

Are there no other Justin Biebers anywhere on earth ? Just curious..... any cynical domainer could name his next son that just so that he can claim his domain wans't about the teen idol LMFAO...

I've always wondered about celebrity names that become domains owned by someone else, celebs do not "own" their full names, I may like a name and reg it because I want to use it for a project for example. If Justin Bieber were TMd that'd be another story, but even then what if there's another guy w/that name ? If you profited from using his name blatantly to promote your site and it was all about the teen idol then a UDRP would ensue, he must have an entourage of highly paid lawyers full-time. He's also Canadian, and even that may come into play...

Last, many celebrities just couldn't care less about their name being a domain or a website, and when offered to buy it they may not even bother to respond. So unless the domainer is making money from the star's activities and name recognition, legal action is not 100% certain to follow (Matthew Perry, Kerri Washington and Terry O'Quinn are hardly unique names, and they're all stars, and while Justin Bieber is not as common he should not have the right to claim sole rights to that name unless for artistic reasons) Wouldn't it be cool if the OP offered JustinBieber.us to the real guy, and he ended up buying it LMFAO.....celebs have more money than God !

Jeff Burgar of Alberta Hot Rods has owned some of the most popular celebrity names, including PamAnderson.com, AshleyJudd.com and TomCruise.com.
While I didn't get him on DomainSherpa for an interview, he did answer questions for me by email -- and I then simulated an interview by sitting behind a sheet reading his answers. :)
What you’ll find in this interview are some terrific tongue-in-cheek responses, along with some very thought provoking comments about the domain name industry, trademark law, celebrity personality rights and the UDRP process.

While the interview went live May 3, 2011, it's still just as relevant today:

If you cannot sell it to the the famous Justin Bieber, then it's worth zero. Of course you can register any name and any domain for that matter, but in the end, value is determined by the associated risk; in the case of large scale celebrities, that risk is substantially elevated.

On that note, say hello to Bustin Jieber.

Didn't want to listen to the interview so thanks for posting a transcript.

Some very valid (and hollow) points. I have a difficult time viewing a panel as a "court of law" especially since the panel consists of one...is that not a chair or seat?

I know the rulings at times can be pretty much a slam dunk. But in the case of a commoner's name, how can one person be the sole heir entitled to a name(sake)? Can there not be more than one Hillary Clinton or (as Jeff pointed out) Sandra Bullock? Sure there can. Why, I once knew a girl whose last name was Sink and she had named her two children Porcelain and Enamel. I guess those are about a pretty much generic products as you can guess.

So the next time you are taking a dump in an porcelain toilet or pissing into a porcelain urinal, just think of this story. Not sure why...I guess just to illustrate the power of suggestion.

Or, the moral of the story is...don't be thinking of baby names when shopping in a Lowe's or Home Depot.
