handreg something cool :) , always reading something related to self-growth, immunize myself to negativity by feeding my brain quality content and focussing on the half full glass.

or just look back at where you started and where you are now - either making money or learning to make money :)

more life related than domaining specific but there it is...

Watch PPC stats every morning :)
Try to beat the big boys at snap :shy:
Enjoy your catch when you've got a nice domain at snap, that nobody else bid on ;)
Develop domains into beautiful sites
Quietly decline $,$$$ offers from end users :-#:
Not to mention the sense of urgency: I think now is the time to buy before the drops get out of reach and unaffordable...
Right now it is still possible to get gems at a price but the window of opportunity could be closing soon. We don't always realize we are a lucky few in the know :)

For me motivation has always been closely tied to the amount of money I am spending. As I pump more into to it, my motivation goes up.

I keep motivated with selling hand regs at 100x - 300x what I regged them for.

I also somehow keep really motivated when I make a major purchase I feel I got at a steal.

How do you keep yourself motivated in the domain biz?

when i try to motivate or stimulate others, is when i really get charged!

a lot more usually comes out of discussions, than perhaps what I or another poster intended.
i like to find the fallacy, and if there is none, then truth is still being told.
that is motivation!

sometimes good clues, or a reflective moment...that makes you ponder, but it's motivation for thought. ;)

- reading about the growth in the domain market
- seeing all the change, new aftermarket venues and sales platforms
- seeing more media coverage of domains
- seeing the weekly sales reports
- reading how ad spending is going up online while declining in traditional media
- watching big companies scurry to get an online presence
- seeing the dominance of internet and mobile internet everywhere

when you see all that and realize domains are the gateway to the internet, and most people still don't have a clue, you know you are in the right place right now.

Just the hope that one day i might come across that one great deal, that one great sale, ect. Sometimes its real hard to stay motivated in a business dominated by millionaires but as frustrated as i might get, i still love building my portfolio in the hopes it will be a better investment than anything else i could sink my money into.

It's hard in the domain biz to keep motivated which is why I switched to work more on developing a website.

Identify a problem that you see, and work to fix it. Try to make something that hasn't been done before.

Be unique. Don't make yourself get interested in something, rather go after something you are interested in.
