Now that the Google keyword tool is gone and Google went with the Planner :( , what tool or software is everyone using to find exact, phrase and broadmatch for keywords?

Keyword Tools still works for me, but it's best to learn the Planner as at the top I see:
In the coming months, the external Keyword Tool will no longer be available. To get keyword ideas, sign in to your AdWords account and try Keyword Planner.
Maybe it's that you have to be signed out for it to work (haven't tried signing in) or it's setup to end in different areas of the world at different times as it's not specified when it'll stop working.

I suppose at one point you're going to have to change your selling model and buyer's are going to have to adapt that "average searches" are the metric to measure worth on.

Either way, with content writing, average searches provides a great deal of detail for publishing.

If you take the time to use the keyword planner - choose your keywords, create an ad group. Once you do, on the right side of the page, you'll see a button "Review Estimates". Once you hit that, you will see a graph and table. Under the daily estimates by ad groups table, you will see a header drop down that says Edit Match Types - there you can choose exact, phrase or broad and get the same data you are used to using.

Good Answer, but that's for doing something in your account, not research , so for an account, that would be good

Most of you will notice that Google Keyword Tool is no longer accessible as of today. On a good note, by the end of the day, Google is rolling out a new metric offered through the Keyword Planner. Namely, Ad Impression Share, which will tell you how often your adwords is showing up for any given keyword. I know it's off the topic of this thread, but thought it was worth mentioning.
