Whatever happened to www.Kids.us?

Any thoughts as to why the Government and the registrar are not actively promoting this?

Do you think that AOL's KOL has any impact?

Maybe b/c it was a bad idea to begin with and Bush was just trying to get some public approval for doing something positive for the internet? Honestly thought I am sure that when earthlink & aol block out other portions of the net they may direct kids to these address spaces now. This would seem a positive use to teach kids the internet but most kids want to go to barbie.com or other sites they already know about through friends or school. Looks to me like a sinking ship overall.
