Interesting that Yahoo supposedly has the ability to increase advertising revenues around earnings season. Wonder why they wouldn't be maximizing revenues all the time? Would be kind of a bad business strategy to earn less than potential most of the year and then only go to full potential at earnings time.
I'm just going to guess that Yahoo and Google are well protected by contracts that let advertisers know where the customers will possibly be coming from.

actually, that's were yahoo had the problem and could have avoided at least this part of the lawsuit if they had been up front with potential advertisers

this is how yahoo described to advertisers where their ads would appear -

"ads would be shown on "popular, high quality sites" and "with relevant articles, product reviews, and more"

of course "popular, high quality sites" is a subjective phrase and many parked domains with alot of traffic could be considered popular and if optimized of "high quality," but the typical advertiser probably assumes all their ads will appear on some type of large content / review driven site that is not considered to be a "parked page" as we know them
