closed Liquidated company name

A freind of mine's company has just gone into liquidation but he personaly owns the dn and wants to sell it, the problem is that I don't think the names worth much CHEMCOLTD.CO.UK is the dn, any ideas?

that name is so terrible it might be worth negative dollars, you gotta pay people to take it. unless its still getting traffic of course.

WEll, the problem with that name (other than the ding for being a .co.uk) is that it's a very specific company name and would be weird for other uses.

You can't even really parse it differently to come up with something else. ChemColtD doesn't work. ChemcolTD doesn't either.

I really can't picture someone buying this one at all, no matter how cheap, unless they planned on reopening a business under that name somehow.

The domain name was only registered on 21st October 2002. Pretty quick liquidation if the company was incorporated at the same time - I haven't checked the latter. Oh and the name is worthless on vanity. Might be worth something to someone in the same line of business IF it has traffic.

thanks for your replies, the company had been trading for 25 years, but got hit for court costs by an ex director, the name can't be sold anyway acording to the liquidator so all this is in vain, thanks again.
