Seeking an appraisal for the following domain names:

www.listitonline.com
www.listitonline.us

It seems that these domains would make great names for sites such as an online auction, shopping site, classified ads or any site with items "listed" for sale. It would make an excellent name for a portal site like Ebay or Yahoo Classifieds.

I received a professional appraisal which I beleive is extremely too high and I was hoping to get an appraisal here so that I could make comparisons.

Thank you for your assistance.

Is that a serious appraisal? I have paid three different professional appraisers which have listed the value for the .com
extension at a minimum of four figures. Is the domain really worth only $0.00? I can beleive that the other appraisals may be somewhat off but I find it hard to believe the the domain is not even worth $1.00 or at least the price of registering it.

DrWho is a man of few words. In this case his appraisal is, in my "opinion", accurate. If you develop this name, it might be a different story.

On the other hand you may get lucky and find, say a realtor, who just loves the name, and is willing to buy it, and develop it.

I'ts been said over and over that a name is worth what a purchaser will pay.

As far as paid appraisals, the overwhelming feeling on these boards is DON'T!

The appraisals you get here at the DNF are free and are much closer to reality than any appraisal you will pay for. The appraisals here are "usualy" for the wholesale market(DNF members, speculators) and not the enduser market.

Cheers

I agree, it is worth what the the buyer will pay.
The appraisals in this forum are from active buyers and sellers so.........take into consideration what is said here.

Has anyone heard of this company? They were featured on places like Bloomberg and ABC News so apparently they have some type of experience and knowledge. They have brokered some of the biggest domain name sales in the industry including millinium.com which sold for over $200,000. They gave the UNDEVELOPED domain a high appraisal and the use strict guidlines. So who is correct, them or this place. I have no idea. Visit their site.

It baffles me how, otherwise legitimate companys, continue to offer "professional" appraisal service.

Netent, appraisal service is a cash cow for these companys. It is not in their interest to give you a low appraisal. Look how unhappy you are with the appraisals you have recieved here so far, and they were free. Companys don't want unhappy clients.

That same company gave an appraisal of $0.00 for the domain fullcashvalue.com which was appraised at $50 on here. So your comment is not valid or they would have given a higher appraisal. The US Supreme Court also consults with that company so they must have an expertice. Every company is not dishonest as you may think. Anyways I was only concerned because I received three separate appraisals all well above $0.00 for List It Online and even an email offer of $2500 from a member on this Site. I guess an appraisal is just a matter of oppinion. Before yahoo was yahoo, I bet no one would have paid the millions it is worth now.
Perhaps an appraisal is just a fancy way to say oppinion because if Doc says its worth $1 and someone here offered me $2500 then that obviously conflicts with the appraisal. Remember, FREE is not always better and paid services is not always better.

I think full cash value is better than list it on line. I think my speedy lists which I paid reg fee for is even better (but then I would :D).

My www.sexelf.com domain was valued at $300,000 ( I didn't pay for that valuation). I think we all know how accurate that figure was.

I think you will have paid more in valuation fees for list it on line than the name is worth. If you start a site and get some traffic you could be on a winner because the name is easy to remember. Without the work, I don't think it's worth much.

If you've been offered $2,500 I'd rip his arm off to take it.
