Hey all,
What does everyone think will happen to the LLL.net market in 08?

It seems to have stalled a bit in the past few months, although with LLL.com prices soaring recently, do you see the LLL.net getting stronger?

Thanks,
Tristan

Well everything (except LLLL.com) kind of stalled a bit in the last few months, pretty much they stopped in value and watched LLLL.com's drive right by them! I predict we will start to see an increase of value which is very noticed coming on the middle of the year, but nothing too soon.

I predict we'll see a slowdown in LLLL.com values once everyone has had their fill

*Nods* We're already seeing a bit of a slow-down - prices were rising at 30% per week previously; time will only tell if this continues.

So are you saying that when LLLL.com prices slow a bit, everything else will pick-up a bit more? :)

I'm assuming they would. LLL.com prices have somewhat stagnated for a little while now. The lowest end are increasing in value, but the semi-premiums are still going in the 8k range.

I don't really think that now's the best time to buy LLLL.coms. Too many buyers, too high prices.

Agreed. They can't keep raising like that for too long

LLL.nets will keep going up slowly. They are probably a safe buy, but not the best investment on the market currently.

I am :)

However my comment about a slowdown probably opened the way on a discussion about LLLL.coms :)

I will be specific
IMHO,

LLL dot nets seem to double in price every 2 years

Last year you could have bought plenty at $800 each

So by 2009 expect to pay a minimum of $1600

Once LLL dot coms reach a min. of $50k, LLL nets will be 5k

I expect that to happen in 2010

What do you forecast?

Bear markets in US housing and stocks, chances are good we are already in a recession but you won't hear about it until we've come out...domains are in their own world, but cash is cash and when you need it, you raise it...

You can still get LLL.net for $800, but I agree, they are way too cheap.

I don't plan that far in domaining, but as far as next year goes I think LLL.com's should reach min of $10-12k by the end of this year. Which will only make LLLL.com's more desirable since most new investors can't afford, or won't risk 10K+ on one domain.

Ok, time to focus! Soon the LLL.com's will replace the nearly impossible to obtain LL.com's and the trend will move to the LLL.com's being the LL.com's and the LLLL.com's being the old LLL.com's :eek:k:

LLL.com - buy
LLLL.com - hold
LLL.net - buy buy buy
NNNNN.com - don't buy
LL.com - sell to me cheap

Those have have a reasonable holdings of premium LLL.nets know that every once in a while an end user will offer you an obscene amount of money for one.
I'm not selling most of mine anytime soon, they were a great investment 12 months ago and continue to be so.

Definitely True!

I think LLL.nets will continue to grow in value, especially as LLL.coms get more expensive and people with less capital to invest increase the demand for the .nets.

Some amazing advice! Especially the bit about LL.com ;)

I'm glad to hear that most people feel that LLL.nets are a good buy :) I recently bought 2 of them, and being a small time domainer that a decent investment for me :)
