I know this is not a good place to look for venture capital, but I assume that there must be some people here in this forum having connections with venture capital community. I need to get VC to accelerate my .mobi development.

I would really appreciate it if someone could introduce me to VC. Here is my .mobi portfolio that I am trying to develop. None of the names are for sale.

My company is located in China but I was educated in US with MS in computer science. I lived in USA for 17 years.

Thanks in advance.

VC are usually looking for new, disruptive technologies or service approaches which have the potential to change their market.

Plain vanilla web development is hardly new these days.

You may want to state what makes your business different from other web based businesses. Good luck!

Why do you think .mobi dev is plain vanilla web development? It could be as simple as one page web site or it could be a full blown social networking site. Possibilities are limitless.

...again, good luck, but you will definitely need a business plan, and it should contain something new. I was simply trying to help.

Hey,

I once suggested you a website www.donews.com,
It's is the largest IT groups in China.

From the website, you could find 'IT Chahui'(IT Discusstion groups), mainly based in Shenzhen, Nanjing also has branches.

It focused on 'starting business for individuals or small companies'. And they have a base, which is open to individuals and small companies.
The organizer is familiar with VC, and has a lot of connections with them.
So he could introduce potential projects to VC.

I want to join them after I sell invest.mobi, the fund could help me start a small business.

You could vist www.miwy.cn for more info.

Good luck.

You do realizer that a VC firm for somthing like THIS will take 80-90% of "your firm" right? I suggest you find some capable developers and see if they are interested in an equity stake.

Yep, just sit back and wait. Be Patient. Give it about 70 years.

Great portfolio no doubt but you are not looking for VC money. VCs want a business plan that will scale. Most of those domains seem unrelated so, unless you have a disruptive business idea that requires millions of dollars in ramp costs, you will be wasting your time.

Now an Angel investor who might be someone you know might want to invest. Friends and family for example.

Either way, if you want an investor to come aboard, you are going to need a business model that will return a high multiple of their investment due to the high risk involved.

Good luck.

Right... How many Earth years is that?, compared to whatever planet you're on?
Did you miss out on the .Mobi buy-up period? Their's a healthy secondry market for .Mobi, so all's not lost.
