I'm out of my normal area of operations on this one, so I could use your help. I just picked up GranadaHills.org. Granada Hills was the first settlement in LA's San Fernando Valley and is a bustling community there today. I spend a lot of time in LA so the name caught my eye right away as my usual hotel is just a few miles from there. However I have no experience with city names. .Org would be a good fit for a city name I would think. What should a name like retail for?

The population of Granada Hills, CA did make me pause on this one (only 50,000), however it is the middle of a huge metropolis and according to the city's web site, has home prices that run from $200,000 - $1,000,000 each. Real estate companies are big users of city domains. Also, you cannot register the name of any city I have checked in the San Fernando Valley in any major extension - ShermanOaks, WoodlandHills, CanogaPark, VanNuys, Reseda etc are all gone in every extension. I guessed a .org in any of those would be worth $100-$200 to a number of local entities. Could certainly be wrong though - like I said - it's my first dip in this pond.

Dr. Domain - I see you are in Santa Monica. That's one of my favorite areas in LA (gone in all extensions of course!). I'm usually there every 3 months (lots of record companies headquartered there)
