I was pretty surprized today to lose a Pool backorder to Godaddy Software....

They must be getting better over there at Godaddy...

godaddy does beat pool and snapnames more often for anything other then com/net... us/biz/info it is great for... org is shaky'

that is not true... i've caught dozens via pool just this past few month's.... their chances are just as good as is snapnames and much better then godadaddy of course.

GoDaddy doesn't stand a chance ... in my experience at least. Unless you bid for a super-obscure domain of course.

They might have caught 1 .org out of 100 in the past 6 months.

If it was a domain already registered with GoDaddy ... GoDaddy now has the best chance of grabbing the expired name for someone over anyone else. This is my understanding ... someone please correct me if you have better info.

it worked kind of like network solutions and snapnames' partnership a while back where you could place a backorder and once expired they would automatically renew it (the domain never get deleted/dropped) and you are the new owner.

now with the tdnam the whole system is a one big mess.
