nearly a year the whois looked like that.

There were many times that the names were shown as to-be-deleted for one or more weeks, according to the whois record. Then they would get transferred later.

Sometimes the support staff from Snapnames is able to tell you what is going on (e.g. a registrant such as ULTSEARCH doing a mass transfer).
