I've been receiving alot of low-ball offers recently...and to me its kind of annoying because I know I already set my prices way too low.

Wanted to know others people think of such offers; does it annoy you or do you see it as an opp to counter offer and begin negotiations. Sometimes I just ignore them sometimes I play along...

Give an example, one can't set an universal, exact price on a domain. In another words, one could start a thread complaining that all domain sellers are setting ridiculous prices for their domains, which they kind of are. Give and take, both sides.

If you don't want low ball offer, set the starting price appropriately.

Why not say where to start - so you can let them not submit an offer.

Say looking for offers over $xx.00 0r offer in the range of xxx - xxxx
to say 100 to 1000

when you post any offer welcome - than prepare to take a $1.00 offer and you may not consider it.

Low ball offers is something that will always occur on a forum with resellers.

Either state a price or your starting point. That's your best bet.

In that case, if you're not willing to sell lower. Just simply state that it's a firm price.

Buyers will always try to negotiate a lower price.

not the e8.com guy

quadruple your asking price, then the "low-ball" offers you receive will be more than your original expected price.

oh I dont mean where I simply post accepting offers - but rather when a low price has been set and buyers want to try for even lower... but I think I get what you guys mean...

In this case feel free to publicly humiliate their comprehension skills. My favorite references include "neurovisual malfunction", "short bus riders" and "domaintards".

low ball offers are okay with me... just say no

you are in the driver's seat if they really want it they will move. as far as no reply I think a reply is always best approach unless there is a smart remark with the offer...i'm sure many large sales started off with a low offer.

what annoys me is when you ask for an appraisal, get like 100 views and not 1 response.makes me feel like the domain is absolutely worthless lol.

Low ball offers annoy sellers, and sellers who try to rip people off as much money as possible also annoy buyers.
