Hi can anyone hazard a guess at the value of this group of LPG domain names. As most of you will know LPG stands for Liquified Petrolium Gas. Which is the growing enviromentally friendly, and cheap to buy fuel of the future. Any comments will be well received wether good or bad. I am thinking of developing them into an international LPG website for the purchase of LPG conversion kits and showcasing the latest LPG cars. What do you reckon of my chances asking FORD to advertise on my future website with those as my portfolio?????

alright...

as an automotive specialist...

The fuel of the future will be liquid hydrogen, I doubt this LPG will ever catch on. I dont really like any of these names, so I say maybe $2000 for the group.

The best name out of all of them is: ecomotoring.com, which can work for many types of fuel and is probably worth $300

I dont know what they think of LPG in Canada but it's def catching on in Britain, in fact we are well behind the EU on this! In some research i carried out last year 100,000 cars were known to be fitted with LPG, and the future projections for 2005 were 250,000! LPG pumps are springing up everywhere! Even in Cornwall (the butt end of the UK!!!) But American figures were estimated at 1%. So i would disagree with your statement back there about 'not catching on'.

Many car manufacturers are now producing LPG cars in ever growing numbers. Including but not restricted to Ford, Vauxhall, Fiat the list goes on.

The thing is my friend, fuel taxes are very high over here and the only dodge is LPG, as the tax has been capped by our government to increase the interest in it. The government are even giving grants for assistance in the cost of converting!

Nice selection for LPG related domains. As for value, I don't know but would have thought they are a nice selection for building a site upon. I have to agree upon the increased interest in LPG. Although I have to say as someone who had been in the automotive industry since leaving my school days, it has been a VERY long haul to get to where we are now. And where we are now is a step forward but not really an enormous step forward from say 10 years ago. Build a site and see where it leads you. I used to know an engineer that had some connections with the LPG Assoc and I used to be invloved with the inspection of LPG systems on buses and trucks, hence some past knowledge. Interesting set of names.

Cheers John thats my intention exactly to build a website, personally i dont know much about cars/lpg but there is a hell of alot of info on lpg on the net. So i can learn i suppose! I thought that the values weren't going to be that good. But i think the income with a developed website could be enormous. I haven't got the domains i really want for example lpg.co.uk or .com but i suppose the search engines will bring me in alot of business. It's just getting on the search engines and getting the right publicity for it. What i was hoping to do is get some of the car manufacturers onboard to advertise their latest LPG releases, and prehaps advertise for LPG stockists, but obviously i have to build all this up gradually as it gets more popular.

Pretty good timing too given the film I have just seen at the movies tonight. I think the whole world will be thinking that little bit more about green issues when the film has been seen by a few hundred million people. Good timing for the introduction of a 'green (ish)' alternative fuel website. Go for it and good luck.

The film, "The day after tomorrow" going to be a BIG hit at the movies. A great film, certainly makes you think and will certainly provoke a few 'green' initiatives.

FuelCellHybrid cars are at the least ten years away, Just to bring them into the market. Toyota is bye far the leader in eco cars "Prius" and soon Lexus and Toyota's Hybrid Suvs HighLander and such. Here in the us the market is still or because fuel is payed for by the gallon and it's about 2.35-2.45 for regular and 2.75 for the best
How do we get to fuel cell cars. Well Lpg is a great way to lower the prices and create a market place until then and 10 to 15 years is along ways away. Plus if fuel cell was for sure why would these automotive companies spend billions on ele/gas cars
Every manufacture is coming out with these Ford, Honda "civc" Gm All of them. Don't let fuelcell blind you guys just hang on to your fuelcell domain names because you won't get real money for ten year's. the money is in lpg and hybrid gas/ele now. This guy who bought up these domain name own's a nice set of domain names. He could unload them to researcher's, convertion companys, and manufactures. All commercial industry. My money is on him. Even if we don't get a long.

I value them at 250000 to 500000 for the set and alot more if he can find single buyer's who want to promote there business...

LPG??? Never heard of it.
Battery and hybrid cars, I have. And they are catching on in the EU (and are being endoresed)... (VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Skoda, Fiat, Seat... just to name a few)
Personally, I think the lot is worth maybe $1K

LPG just for seekers benefit is a by-product of oil refinery operations and such like, basically it's been wasted for years and in the North Sea alone we produce If i recall correctly 6 billion gallons of the stuff per year! The UK at the moment only uses 70,000 gallons per year! It's better than CNG (compressed natural gas) to liquify it needs 200 bar pressure, where LPG only requires a nominal 7 Bar! Creating a cheaper and lighter tank! Basically theres a good 50 years left so as long as there is oil there's LPG!

fussyfever cheers for your kind words!

Sorry fussy fever edited again i didn't know i had spelt your name wrong here aswell!

$5 million for the set...what a joke, buyers will be nearly impossible to find and these names shouldnt have any value for at least the next 6-8 years

GT Web, LPG may not be catching over in canada, but as FUSSYFEVER! (See i can spell it right!) pointed out earlier it is getting big in the EU. Britiain are behind the times according to the LPGA, maybe America and Canada aren't as enviromentally friendly (we all know that anyway) but you may well in the future see LPG. Dont just discount it because you have never seen it or even heard of it. when the wheel was invented i bet loads of people laughed at that when it was first shown to the public, and look what it has bought you now!
