JOhn, I really like your site. It is very responsive and iI clicked around for about half a minute even though I wasn't planning on staying. You have done a great job if you programmed or customized the php code yourself. It is simple and to the point.

Unfortunately, the domain name connects with the content very little. I went from expecting pets or hard core motorcycles, to believing your are selling cars (thunderbirds?), then I thought ok this is a luxury car auction, but found out this is general auction site.

I think you should score a more appropriate domain name to showcase your work.

LuxuryBirds.com is a great name, I can't see the package selling unless the buyer is resourceful and splits in into the two components (and is willing to try and compete with Ebay) or sells only cars, or discards the content.

Did you use open source php or an auction-specific product for the design?

Thank you very much  for the comment.

This website's slogan is "Feel like a million but for a whole lot less". Our website LuxuryBids.com is a place for people to buy and sell luxury items like Armani, Versace, Gucci, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc... and Buy them for low cheap prices hence the name LuxuryBids.com.

Why pay $62k for a new mercedes E320 when you can get a used one that looks the exact same for $28k... Thats what we are here for!

If you noticed on the front page the image that says LuxuryBids.com Motors changes everytime you visit just like it does on eBay... I will post a dummy auction so you can see what an item looks like. I think its very smart looking. Thanks!

BTW, how much could this fetch approx. Or what is the street value of it? Thanks!

Ok, sure, I will take a look at the mock auction.
Are you keeping traffic stats and if yes, what are they?

So, this is a luxury items for less site
I misread the name as luxury Birds.. MY fault

LOL

ALso, to paraphrase, do you have any licensed code you are passing along with the sale relating to the package you used to develop it (for support and liability purposes) or was this an open source project?

I spent four months programming this website and it is a mixture of different programmes and also free code. The site isn't advertised anywhere yet because I have been so busy working with my two year old site FlightSource.net. But im sure if I were to advertise it there would be some success!

Yes, your site is nice. Have you thgouht about selling it on..... um... Ebay?

You would get more exposure there to people who are into auctions, if anything.

As far as a value, I would love to give you a figure. You have spent a lot of hard work and I don't think I 'll do no justice knowing there is probably no traffic and with the question "will they come?" lurking?

I will wait to see if anyone else has anything to add before I offer my very rough estimate. It would be easier to gauge if you had done the PR and SE rounds.
Stay tuned...
