Greetings, all.

I wasn't really sure which forum this question would have best been located but I figured it is most related to appraisals overall.

I am planning on making an unsolicited offer to a non-internet company. I was hoping some people here would have some advice from a buying perspective.

The details of my situation are that the company does not have (or ever according to archive.org) more than a "coming soon"-style page for a web presence for the domain, yet has been around for several years. Stopping short of saying the name, it is a .org and is a common term. I'm wondering, what's the best way to approach them about this? How much should I lay down on the table to begin with (% or $ are good)? And any other related advice would be extremely appreciated. :)

P.S. cheap is good! I'm really wondering if these people have any idea on how much a domain is worth.
