G'day

May we have a CST clock please, somewhere on the DNforum?

Again and again I see "for sale posts" with the rider, this ends at so and so time CST

Or even the Sunday Auction that starts at 7pm CST

It is probably not that difficult for me to work out the time where I am. It may be that I am just lazy , or even stupid.

It is a simple matter of adding 15 hours to the CST time to get my local time.
But I seem to get it wrong a lot.
It doesn't help matters that the time shown on posts for me is GMT plus 10 hours, when my time is actually GMT plus 9 hours.
It is proably something I can change somewhere, but daylight saving will arrive here before I can figure out where.

I am posting this with 15 minutes to go before tomorrow here.
No wonder I get confused.

Anyway, maybe there are other people who would like a CST clock on the DN forum pages?

Oh yeah , I have gone to that site too, to get the CST time.
Trouble is that I get distracted and try and find where time goes.
Once I was certain that I had pinpointed where time goes.
In the pacific ocean near Tonga.
But it turned out that I was in dreamtime, and that is another dimension altogether.

Appreciate your post Unc, confirming that I am not the only one who would apprecaite a CST clock

Maybe if someone could source a site that tells you what the time is anywhere at any particular time (I know I've seen one) a link could be incorporated into the site maybe on the home page so we could check when we need to.

You could always set your time offset to cst in user cp/options.

Isn't that a bit of a long-winded hack?

It's easy for us in North America to "do the conversion" when it comes to CST, but I'm sure there are others out there with the same problem this poster has.

I'm sure our "big brains" can come up with something, unique and possibly revolutionary!

Why CST though? Greg used CST because he was in Texas. I have seen EST more than CST recently.

Forum clock is GMT, but you can set yours to whatever timezone you want. If anybody wants to investigate hacks, please post them here.
