ITS ABOUT TIME the philty corp gets sued for destroying the diets of billions, their food is by far the worst and #1 cancer, disease diet in the world for kids.

Happy Meals are again under attack, this time in court.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest has filed a lawsuit against McDonald's Corp., claiming that the company's meals with toys unfairly entice children into eating food that can do them harm.

The Washington advocacy group warned McDonald's in June that it would sue if the company did not stop providing toys with children's meals that have high amounts of sugar, calories, fat and salt. The suit, filed in San Francisco Superior Court, seeks class-action status.

some of the toys are pretty good - they have come a long way since i was a kid.

not sure how far this will go. keep in mind its the parents who go to Mcdonalds. last time i checked... 8 year olds couldn't drive or have a enough money to buy a happy meal.

Mcdonalds has also tried selling healthier alternatives...not as many interested people im affraid.

This is one reason why America is failing. Any business is subject to absurd lawsuits like these, while the people themselves (parents in this case) take no responsibility for their actions. Last time I looked in SF, the locally owned fried food vendors and burrito shops were not providing anything healthier than McDonald's. Considering the health standards, they were probably less healthy. And then there are the "healthy" granola bars (i.e sugar bars) that some parents feed their kids. What is it with this knee-jerk reaction to anything McDonalds? If your kids eat too much junk food, it's probably your own fault.

Can't stand McDonald's and would have to be starving before I even considered going there, much less eating.....but if the parents are dumb enough to go for it, and if they didn't teach their kids any better than that, it is only a question of time before something else gets them (trains, playing in traffic....) or the kids grow up and follow whoever else gives them a cheap shiny toy and a meal. ...speaking of teen pregnancy....

Aside from that, it's a private corporation selling a legal item, so tough....perhaps we should just legislate that the customers look in the mirror for 30 seconds before ordering? Could help more.

Mcdonalds will most like settle and get on with life

i 100% agree, its the parents.

I admit, i go sometimes to Mcdonalds when im in a rush or we need to eat on the way somewhere (its the least messy fast food, lol) and when the kids ask for a toy, i just say no!...its not hard to say

as for the food - everything in moderation

good, they are very hideous. whenever they rise the prices on meals, they never admit and do it hideously. employees were instructed not to tell customers about their secretive rising prices on meals.
