Meaning of "free" in domain names

Hi all

Is there a practice in choosing domain name to equate "3" with "free" (eg "3service.com" = "threeservice.com"); if so, how prevalent is this? Do people generally accept such notion, rather like "4" equating "for"?

Any pointers would be most welcome.

Thanks!

Meant to say "3" equating "free" (eg, "3service.com" = "freeservice.com") above.

Where did you hear of that 3=free model from, sas? I haven't heard about these kind of sites in my 7 years of surfin. Could you show an existing example?

I guess ''3" is pronounced as "free" if you've lost your front teeth, so may be good for senior citizen sites.

Good luck!

The '4' number is the most wisely used as a replacement for a word or letter.

(eg Domains4Free.com)
