Hi All

I wanted to start this thread to see if any of you have received offers for domains, that you have accepted, and the person never responded back to you.

This would be a good way to let everyone know who these people are, and we can avoid dealing with them in the future.

No one has the time to be bothered with "Fake Bids" on domain names, and these are the kind of members we don't need IMO.

Thanks for viewing!

You want to start us off with a name since you started this thread?

I have a name of a domain buyer...but I dont think he is on this board...and I first name is too general....let me look up some of his info (he was the fast-autos.com buyer who started the escrow transaction....said I was weird for no reason, and left)

I have had an email approach from a member of this board from the middle east - despite numerous arrangements, promises and "must be my bank" emails no transaction has ever taken place. Complete waste of time!

I will not post this person's name, but I will expose them should they make such an offer again or contact me with lame excuses.

Just wanted to get this out in the air, so other members will be on notice, not to make fake offers for which they cannot follow thru on.

this has happened twice recently...

on one last i heard was there was a money order in the mail for the name... never received it and he never contacted me when i didnt get in touch to deliver the domain.

and on another non domain board i went through the motions and explained in full detail how to setup dns for the name from enom what enom was how he can renew the name and everything a new domain owner could need to know and then he said lets do it... then said is this the whole cost for the name no hidden extras? i said the only money you have to pay after is the yearly renewal but I will throw in an extra years so you it will be 2 years before you need to worry and then it will only be about $8. never heard back :(

nice thread.
Also consider starting a thread for "Member run away after receiving money" thread.

You could post that info here, if you like!
