Yep, MS is in hot water again. That story doesn't mention the $4 million per day fine MS faces, if it doesn't hand over the requested information:

Microsoft spends it's own hard earned cash into research and development for their own PROPRIETARY software, and a govt says it has to share?

Why not make it fair? Make those requesting microsoft code pay a portion of the development costs. Why should the other companies get something for nothing?

This must be (again) truly frustrating for Microsoft. How would you, having written a program at your own expense like to be told that now you have to give up your secrets for free, with no compensation to your competitors?

Corporate welfare sucks.
