What would be nice if you got the chance for a domain like games.com, a generic term what cant be TM, But with all the dropcatchers and backorders, that ruins it, i dont think dropcatchers, backordering etc should be allowed, it should be whoever is the fastest at registering after delete, wins the domain

"Games.com" is a generic domain, but it's possible that they can sue you for
it, because it's already a well-known "brand". Therefore I would still be careful
with registering the domain if they forgot to renew it. Just my two cents...

You can keep games.com if you can show you are not interferring with their brand. Games is so generic they don't have any real rights to it.

That was not the first time:

www.doublewide.net

I witnessed the story unfolding back then. ;)

It’s a shame that some large, international corporations cannot afford domain renewal fees...just a shame ;)
