"We learned a lot" after their comeuppance last month when their pleas for funding were turned down, said GM top exec Rick Wagoner, Jr.

It is live hearing now. They (the 3 musketeers) said they have been doing well with all the good numbers and blame the economy as an excuse to get the money.

If you can't run the company then step down and let someone else do it. There is no excuses. This is unreal!

The Democrats will give them the money because their in the UAW's pocket. Personally I feel they need to file chapter 11 bankruptcy. Many of their problems would be solved if they did this.

"They learned a lot"

Of course they did -

What they learned:

How to trickle out technology and capitalize on planned obsolescence, purposely suppressing the most efficient technology for the consumer and the environment whether it be the electric car gm made in the 90s or the electric car ford made almost 100 years ago,

How many Californians see Mercedes Diesels driving on waste vegetable oil?

It's getting more common all the time..

- 2 weeks ago they asked 25 Billion
- Today they ask 34 Billion

If uncle sam don't response to them they will add 9 Billion more for every two weeks.

They should go to the bank and ask for a loan like any other companies.

In Italy we have Fiat produce autos...they take the money from the State for 20 years and now with this financial crisis they ask for double of money every 2 weeks.
Alitalia the same story.

They increase taxes to normal citizens for pay these lobbies.
Scandalous.

What is bailing them out going to do??? Nothing...the reason they are in trouble is people aren't buying the cars, so what is the bailout money going to do allow them to stay open so they can build more cars??? geesh..this is just a waste of money $$$. these companies need to scale down to whatever level the demand calls for. they will burn through the cash in no time and then the govt will have to help them again...this is never going to end until the govt lets the market takes its natural course.

you can't save em all... they are too top heavy.

Bingo!

Down under, our local branches of the big wheel's are asking for more money too... neatly disregarding the fact that automotive sales are down across the board.
The ONLY two categories with growth have been small hybrids and roadtrain trucks.

Hey, no one wants my product! I deserve money to keep making crap no one wants! I wonder how long until large cars are being used as abstract art

Have you already not claimed and filled out the hardship forms?

Wow, hope you are not too late.

My 2.3 million will be transferred into my account by the week's end.
