Minors using forums

I am planning on creating an educational forum, which I proposed in another thread. The forum and the sites use will be for minors as well, including below 13. I seem to recall when using some forums that there are some sorts of restrictions based upon different ages. Could someone please enlighten me on this issue.

Is there a lawyer in the house?

Just make sure you stay up to date with it. They change some parts once in a while.
