Sorry mate, may just be me but I don't quite understand what you are asking!

Are you asking, do domain name owners get upset if people register mis-spellings of their names?

I heard someone earned a million by reselling the misspelled domain names of those celebrities quite a long time ago...

I think it does worth something if the original name is easily misspelled to other spelling. e.g. accommodation.com vs accomodation.com, harry.com vs hary.com...

For non-English speaking people like me, I always mistyped domain name. :)

I see, he was registering company names, what about generic names ?

Who owns the generic? I wouldn't want to register a typo of business.com or loans.com. The well-funded companies behind those generics could want to take legal action if they feel you're "stealing" from their prime generics.

Whether or not they would win a legal action is iffy, but while they're in the process of finding out, it could cost you a lot of money in legal fees.

Personally, I would stay away from typos.
