godaddy has a forwarding system where you can redirect users to another pc site. they have the same system set up for .mobi, but it does not work on the following carriers:
1. Ntt DoComo
2. AU KDDI
3. Softbank (previously Vodafone).
I wanted to forward a ".mobi" to a ".jp" using their forwarding system for my company's mobile website in japan. The rep told me that it could not be done since i was using "IL" and "marquee" on the ".jp", therefore the ".mobi" would not forward to the ".jp".
stupid. The reps just act confident when in fact they have no knowledge. My company is so pissed at godaddy. im pissed.
A good idea for godaddy is to have 2 separate reps; 1. for developers, 2. for general public who know nothing about domains.
Has anyone dealt with forwarding .mobi?
