This morning I received a WHOIS inquiry from this site:

http://www.mobizc.net/

It was for a .mobi name.

I was totally unfamiliar with the site.

Then I got another. Pretty strange, I thought, getting a notice for each time the WHOIS is searched.

Well, all in all - including the one I just got - I have received inquiries for over 27 different .mobi domains.

I do know that .mobi has approved for Chinese IDN.mobi and I am not sure of the release date.

Who knows what the market might bring.

I see a scrolling marquee on that site.

For those that are Chinese natives, one I saw was this:

气象服务 weather.mobi

Is that the Chinese Simplified version of weather?

Here are some others I saw scrolling:

我的博客 myblog.mobi
é±¼ fish.mobi

It appears that list is a list of well known companies that have their .mobi.

And, while typing this, WHOIS notice came in for the 28th time.

Since that last post of mine, I have gotten four more notices:

Two LLL .mobi (ASU, ANS)
Two LLLL.mobi (MASU, CAPT)

Now I'd like to see a few offers follow that up.

i think .mobi heated up too much, leading to OverHeating, and thus failing, time to get a new car.
I had one .mobi, bought it for more due to heat up, and could not sell it, dropped it, but if this is the case, some other .mobi holders must reports the inquiries as you do, then it could be something

I received 30 of these whois notifications, which now go directly into my spam box.

Yup, I got a bunch of them, too.

First thing I did was to check none of the domains were subject to any unusual activity....like being stolen...
