It does seem odd to me that cleaning.com went for more than searching.com

I like us.org myself. Would have expected that one to go for much more.

I watched it thanks to Stewie giving me the heads up - I saw the one a few months back also - both were super fun to watch, and kinda left my ear ringing from the announcers bid calls. :p

I thought ad.com should've sold - I mean any industry Giant with billions could have just kept it as invesment even if they dont develop - but seriously, why didnt it sell!

Floor.com - not sure I see the value here.
LT.com - real bargain.
US.org - not sure I see the value here either. $45K was reasonable.

All decent but concerning the big names, floor.com to me at that price would have to be a big end user to make sense. Otherwise, thats alot of whole sale flooring you are pricing out to make a profit lol

It does seem odd to me that cleaning.com went for more than searching.com

Why? On a pure parking basis of keyword search volume and cpc, "cleaning" crushes "searching". People search online for cleaning instructions, products and services. There is less search for keyword "searching" because people just do it rather than learn about or shop for it.

Regarding end use, there are probably a few million cleaning product and/or service businesses worldwide, an industry ripe for consolidation rollups. One of those big businesses will eventually come knocking with a big offer for the domain. Cleaning will be around as long as kids and entropy exist. Searching has a secure future as well, lost keys, lost hikers and internet search come to mind. GPS/RFID and search & rescue operations handle the first two, and Google owns internet search today. If Google wanted searching dot com they probably would have bought it by now. Speaking of Google, use it to search "cleaning" (full column of sponsored results) then "searching" (one sponsored result.) The sponsored results are a clue to how much end user recognition and value is assigned to the respective keywords.

LT.com - real bargain.

I'm curious why you think it's a bargain.

Lt country code of Lithuania?

I'm sure there are lot's of uses for the domain, just not sure it has much inherent value, excepting it's the country code for Lithuania.

LL.com min is about $100K.
For prime letters its usually $150K+

Maybe the landscape is changing.

These results are, generally, pretty disappointing, imo....Down, across the board...And a lot of names were passed in.

When absolute creme de la creme domains, like Ad.com & Pay.com, don't get a single bid...When LT.com sells for $100,000....When Property.net sells for $22,500....well...that's a pretty average market, imo....

Some bright spots, though...

Cleaning.com at $100,000...Floor.com at $275,000...Camps.com $110,000...Searching.com at $85,000...BirthdayPresents.com at $80,000...Plans.com at $70,000...Sax.com at $70,000, are not bad at all...

The .me's were strong, too...And, CEO.info at $32,500 is pretty good for a .info, imo.

(I got Camera.net....but...I missed Property.net by a split second (the auctioneer closed the auction so fast...I bid, but one second too late)....).

Overall result? To be expected in today's economy, I suppose...

hahaha rofl

Try

Marriage Therapists

lol

lots of cheap names

us.org , lt.com, property.net- can't help but think those owners could have got more here for them, without moniker taking their chunk...
