Hi guys, don't know if you all noticed but Moniker now charges $6 for each url forwarding without notifying about the price change. At least I had no idea they put a price on url forwarding since when I created it was free. So if you don't use it and don't want to get charged for it make sure you delete those services. Or you will get billed for all like I did.

Important: if you delete the url forwarding just check your nameservers again. They will automatically be set to Moniker ones. So they can make a cent or two.

Moniker sucks more and more each day. What the hell happened to them? It's like a different company now.

Their support is going the godaddy way but worse; I can honestly say.

I just checked and it is still free on my account.

I am sorry to hear about your frustrations my friend. I'd give Moniker a call.

Personally, I have always found Godaddy phone support to be good overall. It also seems like they are always there and hold times are not much of a problem.

Still shows up as free for me, why is it everyone posts here freaking out... I have NEVER had a problem getting a hold of moniker, now I only have about a dozen names there, but WHENEVER I had a question, Jrzygirl has always responded to me asap, whether it be on AIM or via email and even by email I have a response within 30mins - hour during working hours. I have never called in, so I can't comment there.

Same here, phone support is always great, email is usually good within 24 hours, 48 hours max and they seem to be on top of their game as far as answering important/ domainer related questions.

I solved the URL forwarding issue by transferring out my last domain tonight.

Moniker does NOT charge for URL/Email forwarding. All you need to do is open a help ticket or contact your account rep with your account # and it'll be taken care of.

Thanks

Why having to contact support. Can't they make it a standard feature ?

Bari. Sorry, but have to dispute this.

South - It is free when you contact your rep. It needs to be modified in your account.

Ok. But still. Either there is a charge for it, or there is not.

People, just check for subproducts being set to autorenew on names you purchase. That is how I got these additional unexpected charges.

Also want to say that overall, I have been very happy with Moniker.

Hrm, I see what you guys are saying now, I wasn't getting prompted for any payment. But I don't see why they were enforce the above rules where you have to contact them to remove the fee's... just seems like a unnecessary hassle.

When you have a Registrar that uses different account levels, you can expect something like this to happen.... Do as Bari suggested and contact your rep.
