I ordered a lot of transfers into moniker 48 hours ago.
Everything worked ok with the confirmation emails etc.
But...

The transfers have not started!!! Doesn't moniker start transfers during the weekend? I have not even received the "transfers update" email moniker sends every day on pending transfers.

It depends on the losing registrar to release the name. Normal waiting is 5-7 days.
It is quicker if losing registrar is Godaddy. You can login your account and release the name.

log-in to your account and check under "Domain Overview" for "Domains pending transfer " ..I've transferred-out from dotster where the whois status shows "ok" instead of "pending transfer" only to have them transferred-in after 5-7 days..

My own experiance with monikers "transfers update" email updates has been spotty at best

When the losing registrar sends you an email stating to click this link if you DISPROVE the transfer, you can tweak the link to make it APPROVE to allow the transfer to take place without waiting the 5-7 days.

I don't think you understood.
Moniker has NOT started the transfers.

I ordered them but they did not send the requests to the registry/registrars.
eg. My biz domains are not showing PENDING TRANSFER.

I was just told that their transfer script did not run for some reason.
They have not fix this yet.

Just contact your account rep or support and ask them to cancel the transfers and restart them.

I have had this issue before.

When you start the transfer at Moniker and you get the transfer confirm email and you click the link, login via Moniker. Then go back to the email and click the link AGAIN. At this point you should see the transfer is "Pending-Transfer" once the new moniker window opens.

I have seen this issue with Firefox for sure. They might be having issues this weekend as well, since I got "completed" emails from NetSol this weekend, but in my Moniker account, they still say "Pending-Transfer"... Also sent in a support ticket.

Yofie my domains show "Pending-Transfer" for 3 days now.

It's just that registry doesn't agree... :(

Just now the transfers started...
3 days of clueless support with critical priority. They had to wait for Monday to get things done.

It does seem Moniker doesn't work on "weekends" and some processes are not automatic like other registrars. I think transfers are one of those.

Godaddy works on weekends.

I think manual transfers allow a higher rate of security and I'm actually currently moving my most valuable domain to Moniker, because I feel it's the safest and most secure registrar. :)

Side observation -
On Friday last week, Moniker asked everyone who sold names at TRAFFIC Orlando to transfer them to Moniker (if they are not already there). They are pretty busy over there right now.

Are you talking for about 20? 50? domains?
I had 244 transfers.
I am very sorry for moniker but I don't give a shit about their auctions.

Looks to me like Moniker are verifying all transfer-in/outs manually, which is a good thing IMO. It might take longer than a fully automated transfer process, but it's way more secure IMO.

No they don't. A broken script does that.

make sure the name(s) you want to transfer are not locked or have privacy.

My domains are unlocked and have the correct auth code and not have privacy as...
I got the authorization email.

It's all moniker's fault. It is not a doubt about that...

The question is how fast do they fix broken things on their system.

The Transfers into Moniker start when the Moniker Authorization email has been "acknowledged" (Per Icann mandate) by the Registrant of record clicking on the link we email to the Admin Contact email address, and when the losing Registrar releases the name. The Losing Registrar is required, per Icann mandate, to release the name with 5 Days, provided the names was not registered/or transfered in the past 60 days. Moniker does not have any control over the losing registrars decision on whether or not they will release the name within the 5 day period.
Keep in mind some Registrars will hold the names for 60 days if there was a change in any part of the whois record. Please open a ticket on the moniker site (there is a link to our support center in the upper right hand corner just below the 800 Toll free phone number. There
is a Knowledge base that has the answers to the majority of issues are resolved with 24 hours. I would also recommend you contact your sales exec by email of phone or email [email protected] if you are unsure of which rep is assigned to your account and need immediate assistance.
