I wanted to give members a different strategy when it comes to monitizing and optimizing LLLL.com.

In regards to acronyms, unless you have a clear dead on keyword domain, forgetaboutit!

Rather than make crap up to fit each letter in attempts to entice a buyer, in the meantime try this strategy when it comes to keywords

use what's hot!

Many times when it comes to acronyms, the traffic is not from exact searches but from referrals. And those referrals usually come from search engines. And search engine referrals come from keywords.

I want to show some of my own LLLL on Sedo right now and those that are getting traffic as of TODAY ONLY (earlier this morning's numbers), and some clicks (from 2 to 50+), and why:

As you look at that list, you will see very little in common between the keywords and the acronym. That's the beauty of this...it does not matter! Taken earlier today, the hits on just this list goes from over 50 down to 2 in just todays tally, and there are more.

Like I said, unless you have an exact match acronym your domain will not likely get a lot of traffic.

So take those acronyms and pump it up with keywords that matter. I have gotten clicks anywhere from $0.01 up to over $16.00 per click.

It takes work as you are likely to change keywords often. Seriously, it is worth it.


And I also have several parked on NameDrive to determine the source of traffic and specific searched keywords. In some instances, this will give your exactly what to set the keywords to. And even sometimes it will still not pay off. For instance - iluu.com is getting a great deal of traffic with nearly 100% coming from Mongolia. Mongolia? Yup...the conversion is decent but the PPC is not all that great (but, I am never getting good clicks from ND). It appears that iluu is a common reference to Mongol music.

So, get off the "make up an acronym kick" and put your names to work with top paying and high search keywords.

Honestly, it is worth a try. It is working for me on Sedo, has worked on Parked, and is working on Bodis.
