hi Brujah

The program you reccomended does not appear to work on my system.

What i essentially want is a way of looking at a list of names, so that i can view the redtristration dates and expiry dates.

I dont want to do this for each names, i have a list of what is actually 300+ names, i want to be able to do it on one go.

Please help

You can change the whois for .uk if the one you're using by default doesn't work.

The 'unable to connect' might be the results being returned by your registrar. Is it a program dialog box error or is it a result in the lower display area that says it is unable to connect ?

Are you proposing i put .co.uk instead of .uk

parms, it sounds like its not the program but the way the registrar is choosing to return the results (or not to return them) in this case.

which registrar is it ? maybe you can write them and tell them you need the information.

It's definitely your whois settings.

Usually you can choose a couple of registrars and just try
whois.registrar.com till you find something that works. Not sure about the co.uk. Dna has a forum and a good support team. I've always had prompt answers when I go to customer support.

It's a good piece of software:D

.co.uk's don't have expiry dates in the whois.

the .co.uk whois is at www.nic.uk - softnik can't capture whats not there.
