Pity the sucker who'll try to do the same thing as the last registrant did.

I wonder if Morgan Freeman's lawyer is smart enough to report to ICANN what
GKG did...or didn't do...

yes, I agree.
but, since it was decided that he won the domain, why is it in RGP?
I wonder if instead of transfering the name, the old owner just asked his registrar to delete the name. That can be done, and if it is older than 5 days, it has to go through the cycle.

I agree.
He is probably my #1 favorite actor in the world.

Something tells me GKG missed out somewhere. Ideally, the registrar will lock
the name pending resolution of a UDRP, so the lock's supposed to keep the
name active as long as it's locked up.

Obviously something went wrong as the domain's now in RGP.

I wonder if someone here's thinking of getting it and putting it up as a fan site
instead of what the last registrant did....

And yeah, he's one of my fave actors, too. How I wish, though, that he would
finally win that darn elusive Oscar for best actor!

yeah, If it goes for a drop, I will go after it and offer to him as a gift :)
He deserves a real oscar more than those other twits that keep getting them.

also, I think jim carrey deserves an oscar, but then, thats my opinion :)

Looks like this guy has bought a lot of trademarked names, they only mentioned a few but they said he had over 500, doesn't look like the last time we will see this guy in court......
His best option is to donate these names to the individuals, corps, and orgs. and hope they give him something as an appreciation.

should-be-retired-by-now black character actor has nothing better 2 do than 2 chase some useless domain, some 10-years after the mass advent of internet?

i could see a desire if he was brad pitt or something, but 67-year old increasingly aged morgan freeman??

what is that, an-over-the-hill life crisis?

Maybe *you* should retire in general.
You have added nothing but insult to what some (many?) people think is a great actor.
In any case your post is in the least disturbing.
So in your opinion only white people that are in a prime age have value?
what kind of BS crap is that?
No matter what age a person is, nor what color/sex etc.. they are, they have a right to life, and to protect their reputation.

He shouldn't retire. He's getting better and better as time goes on. The domain name isn't useless. If it were, why would you care that he tried to get it?

I think you're in the wrong forums if you always substitute to for 2. Typing like that really diminishes anything you might have to say regarding Morgan Freeman, since you're probably just now starting to get into PG-13 movies.

And yes, it's an-over-the-hill life crisis. This is one of the most important things for celebrities to do when they go over the hill. They have to get possession of their domain name.

Why are you at DNForum then if you believe its useless to chase a domain name? Especially if its your name

I remember when that domain dropped with hundreds of other celebrity domains. I tried to register that one, but didn't get it. I often give celebrity domains to them if I get them. Just seems like the right thing to do.

i'm not 67 yet.

yes, i think he's a great actor. i love him very much. but just because he is great actor doesn't mean u have to defend him or 'his' actions. and i didn't insult him. if u can't read, or if u haven't got ability to think outside the box - that is not my problem.

seeker said:

oh piss of seeker! what is disturbing is your tired self-righteous tirade. you playing an advocate of some rich celebrity, and deciding what is right for him to do.

seeker said:

what kind of BS crap is that?

first of all, that is not my opinion, neither i said it nor i though of it, so don't start that bullshit guilt game by 'assigning' me the 'guilt' 4 something i didn't do!

and fyi, that is how hollywood works. bottom line is if u r not young and beautiful or notorious, u r not too interesting. that is especially case with women and minorities. that was my point. how many morgan freeman promotional marketing tie-ins have u seen? so if u want 2 complain do complain to hollywood, not me.

seeker said:

that's right, but my question is where was his reputation for the last 10 years? how come 'he' decided to do it now 10 years after the mainstream internet and at the age when most working men in this world are officially retired? that is what i don't understand? it's a legitimate ****ing question. just because u don't comprehend it it doesn't mean it's not there. so what i am trying to say is that this likely to do with him personally, but those leeches around him.

so seeker, if u r bored over there, don't start giving me that tired, predictable, united nations crap plz. i didn't attack him, nor i have attacked u. so back off!

Good idea. I really had a hard time even making sense out of his reply. :)
