First, it's just publicity stunt.
Second, it's not $24 billion.
It's $24 million :)

Not a bad publicity stunt...

Who knows, some rich jerk may want to have a cool domain Mr.X sounds cool.
but 2 million/mo is out of touch.
Maybe 12-24k to make it more like 1-2k/mo..

But again in this market this isn't happening for a vanity name.
but fun to think about....like winning the lotto

Are domain leases allowed at all in the "for sale" section of eBay? This definitely looks like a cheap ad stunt.

You'd be amazed at how inflated some owners truly believe their name(s) are worth.

I spoke with one guy some time ago who owned a great name since 96. His plan was to turn the domain into an airline. Keep in mind, his plans didn't change after the bust.

Yes, you read right. He's not from an aviation background at all, just thought that the best way to maximize his name was to turn it into a global airline company complete with commercial jets featuring the domain. His valuation pegged the domain undeveloped at a hundred million.

I politely mentioned that koolaid.com did wonders with their domain, so he should follow suit.
