<<They typically don't get enough traffic to make it to the top of Google or Yahoo! search engine results.>>

Well the writer obviously understands nothing about SEO, so I didn't waste my time reading the rest!

Interesting stuff.. man there are some big players in this market!

I do agree landing pages with actual content will help create repeat visits.

Not everyone is convinced that hoarding generic-sounding domain names is a solid strategy, however.

I think it is a very solid stradegy.

Yes, I have to hand it to the ASCII guys of Domaining 1.0. They have really prepared the stage for the second wave of Domaining, i.e. IDN.

Providing meaningful content can only really be achieved by turning yourself into an end user. For Directories that makes a huge amount of sense, but once you have to start carrying inventory and setting up online payment systems to make the business model work then that is beyond the scope and compitence of most domainers. Most of them struggle to pick a half viable name in the first place!

Yes for domainers it was just a general article. But for public who does not have much idea into domaining this article is good.

Yes, Netster appear to have many excellent IDN's,
in '.com.' I have about two dozen of their IDN.com
ccTLD counterparts, in .cn and .jp. If my own findings
are anything to go by, I think Netster must have 'got
in' (to IDN) at least a few years or so ago...

In any case, if you are a IDN.com speculator then
you will be quite envious of some of their names,
that's for sure...
