Hey guys,

I recently setup a newly registered domain, www.monsterlayouts.com

For some reason, sporadically, I get a PPC landing page from information.com which makes no sense. I can't access my site/server, and that damn landing page shows up. Other times I can, but then it only lasts for so long.

I thought it was spyware, but it seems to be like this on other comps on my network. I looked into some server DNS issues, it looks fine.

Is it my ISP? Do you see the landing page as well or my coming soon page?
www.monsterlayouts.com

Thanks

Ah interesting. Thing is it was only registered a few days ago, and was immediately pointed to my private nameservers.

Why oh why would it show information.com...

Have you been following this domain for a long time?
Could it be in your computer memory?

Apparently, it was parked at DS before you caught it.

Maybe, one of the domain tasters had it and dropped it.
So, the corrected dns has not moved thru the networks yet.

I'm sure by tomorrow it will be functioning correctly.

Just regged it, haven't been following it at all. Don't think its my computer, its like this for all the comps in my network. I hope it corrects soon, its really irritating to work with, and everyone else doesn't seem to have this problem but me :(

Regged on sunday, todays tuesday. Still getting the damn landing page.

It's possible the problem is your ISP's name servers are corrupt and/or your home network has been tampered with in some way, such as by spyware that's inserted itself into the name service that your home network is utilizing...

If you are only experiencing problems with that one domain only, then it's more likely your ISPs name servers are what to look into further...

But first, be sure to flush your local computer's DNS ... you may need to do so a few times, if other computers on your home network update / read DNS from one of the other computers; I'm not a network person, so perhaps one flush will do it, but anyways try the following...

Open a DOS window (or click on Run from Start menu) and enter the following command:

ipconfig /flushdns

(ipconfig /? to see other DNS options)

If still no good, then you may want to try opening a trouble ticket with your ISP's tech support staff and ask them to check if their name servers are caching old data for your domain; if so, assuming they have a clue, they'll flush it and you'll be set.

Lastly, even if none of the above works, it's likely that over time the problem will clear itself.
