I think a minimum $30 is good for all domains. Might as well get at least what you spent to register it, plus a little more for the time it takes you to transfer it.

Good luck!

Best Nite Clubs.com Nite is spelt like this mostly when refering to 'Nite Clubs' too

I believe , but I'm not sure, that most of you guys giving appraisals have never sold a name.

Am I right?

and your point is? Most of us follow prices, and thats enough. Do i have to have owned shares in a company to know they are good/bad? Some people may have sold a domain for alot out of sheer luck, does that make them an expert?

I guess having credentials would give people here a better understanding of who can appraise a domain name. I don't think it matters since an appraisal is only an opinion, but hey, I think I'm qualified. Here are my Ebay auctions for the last 30 days. This is about an average month for my Ebay sales, but the summer was a bit slower.

My Ebay Auctions

I've sold plenty over $1k and a few in the 5 figure range, but those were a year or 2 ago, when domains were the hottest thing around.

If I can give someone advice on what to sell their name for, I'm happy to do it. They may not like what I say or they may take my advice to the buyer. That's up to them.

I've probaly registered, bought, and sold a few thousand domain names over the past 7 years.

Gee, I hope I qualify!

I don't understand why you post your domains with spaces. It sort of defeats the whole purpose of us appraising it as a domain. It's important to get a first impression of it with the words together...in order to see how it works as a domain.

The spaces make it easier to read. First impessions? I don't think that comes into play, if you don't know what it spells at first glance, and realize it later, why should that knock the name.

Are you serious? You really don't understand why that should "knock" the domain?

so if I'm selling realestate.com, and at first glance, you see
"reale state" and wonder, what the heck is "reale state". And a few seconds later it dawns on you that it is "real estate".com, you're telling me you're gonna devalue it, because you thought it spelled "reale state".

I don't think so.

All these people are doing is making it easier to read at first glance by spaces or caps.

realestate.com
Real Estate .com

Domain = "No spaces". Seeing a domain presented with caps seperating words is fine because if you type it in that way it works. I can't believe I am explaining this on a domain board  . It's simple... if there are spaces, it's NOT a domain. And I will never understand why someone whould choose to present their domains that way.

It just makes it easier for us to separate the words in our minds. It in no way lessens any value????

Greggish, you seem intelligent, but I think with this idea, you are just "busting chops". plus, you are just plain wrong. lol :)

regular text is fine, Caps preferred to spaces, spaces are ok too :)

I really am not "just busting chops". I've always thought this was a crazy way to present a domain. If you asked me to define "what isn't a domain". The first thing that comes to mind is. "A domain doesn't have spaces." So to present your domain, in the context of talking about it as a domain... and include spaces... . Hey, maybe that's just me...
