I think its a solid domain and probably best to develop this one, my question is any suggestions on how to go about doing this? I have never done a travel site of any sort if anyone has any input at all please do share.

Commission Junction at CJ.com has travel affiliate programs for Expedia.ca and Hotels.ca. You could have affiliate links for things like ski packages and hotel bookings on your site.
