Quote from Internetnews.com
"Unsolicited email marketing has been declared one of the BIGGEST problems plaguing the Internet. What's being done to stop spam?"

>>>>>>> SpamRouter.com <<<<<<<

From what I gather, (excuse my ignorance on this) spam can be controlled at the router level according to a few articles I read at http://www.zdnet.com

1. If that's the case, a SpamRouter could be the specific device(with necessary software)to filter known spammers at the ISP level.

2. It could also be the name of an application that filters (routes) spam.

3. Also I know there are sites that will filter out the spam from your emails prior to it's arrival to you (for a price of course) example=http://spamcop.net/.......SpamRouter.com could be a site similiar to that.

4. It could also be an instructional/informational site on how to configure hardware and software for spam filtering.

Pros:
**This is a product (or service) that could affect anyone with email ......big market.
**Has two decent keywords
**As individual terms they get good OV numbers.....combined....zip

Appreciate any comments....Thanks

I'm biased, because I think my BlockJunkMail.com name is better, but obviously I think you have a good concept. So now we need an unbiased person to let us know if we have our heads screwed on right.

The real problem with spammers is that they lie about the source of the message, so in effect there are no "known" spammers. I have stopped a lot of spam by putting the whole of hotmail and yahoo on deny receipt. Prior to this I had never had a useful email from these addresses, it was always kids, cheats, viruses or spammers.

One way to hit at spamming is to forward all spam to the sponsoring site in the mail. If this is done in sufficient volume it will disrupt their business and make spamming uneconomic. I boughtthe name spambounce.com to start such a service, but haven't had a chance to start it yet.

As a further note on security. You should ensure that the security zone for email is set to restricted and that this does not allow Java[script] or active-x in emails, this will help cut out the auto-installing dialers etc. It is also adviseable to view mail offline to avoid web site includes. You should also scan mail with a good anti-virus program like AVG from
