In another thread domainer111 coined the word de-snap for when you remove a SnapBack from a domain name and put it on another name. I said I had lost some great names by de-Snapping, only to watch SnapNames go on to grab the name for the new Snap holder a few months later.
In mitigation of my actions, in most if not all cases the life of my SnapBacks on the names was due to expire before the names deleted ââ¬â thanks to NetSol dragging its heels with the process ââ¬â and rather than renew the SnapBacks on the names (already spent a small fortune on domains), I exchanged the SBs for other domains which were already in the purge cycle for deletion.
Three names that immediately come to mind that Iââ¬â¢ve lost through de-Snapping ââ¬â hereon after to be known as the ones that got away - are:
GrandBahama.com
Lagoons.com
Wanker.com
That last one sums up my feelings about NetSol forever holding on to expired names before deciding to push the delete button.
Feel free to add your worst de-Snaps to this threadââ¬Â¦thatââ¬â¢s if youââ¬â¢ve already gotten over the pain LOL. To lessen the blow you could always e-mail the successful registrants and tell them you had the de-Snap on their domain name
